Hey everyone! I've been hard at work on this for a lot of years as you all know... It's taking a long time, but it's paying off step by step.
The big news about "Rise of the Living Dead" is that I was recently approved by the state of Kentucky for the state's film tax incentive program for this film!
More updates coming soon, but this is definitely a checkmark in the "Win" column!
Thanks again for your continued support and as always, if you want real time recon about "Rise," follow me and the project on Social Media and check out http://romerosdeadverse.com. You'll find a lot of great info on the site as well as links to all the social media profiles, pages and repositories of info there.

Hey everyone! Happy new year to all and I hope this year brings everything we are all looking for both personally and professionally.
As promised, I'm hitting the ground running and looking forward to good news for you all in 2018.
It's been a very long and difficult road so far. That said, I don't think I would want it any other way. Nothing worth doing should be easy, after all.
While I don't have any production dates or release dates updates this month, I do want to let you all know that I'm still working toward the goal of getting this project delivered. It's grown in scale quite a bit and I have attached world-famous DJ, Dimitri Vegas tot he film, which is very exciting as I believe he's going to bring something really cool to the screen.
As always, please feel free to follow real time updates with this project and everything surrounding it on my social networks. If you don't feel like doing that, I'll be back with another update here next month.
Again, Happy New Year to everyone and let's keep the faith that 2018 is going to kick some ass for everyone.

I would like to clarify my last update.
At no point did I claim that fulfillment was IndieGoGo's responsibility. I have said that we were assured that perks were fulfilled.
What I should have said was the IndieGoGo accepted the proof provided and that as far as I know, all perks have been fulfilled.
IndieGoGo has been supportive and great to work with.
My apologies if my post seemed to be negative toward them in any way.

It has come to my attention that many of you have posted around the internet in response to the latest announcement stating that you still have not received things you were supposed to receive as part of this campaign.
I will say again and this is the last time I will say it....
We have been assured by our campaign manager and by IndieGoGo themselves that all perks were shipped out. As I'm sure you can all imagine, managing the fulfillment of this stuff is a large task. That's why we used a company endorsed by IndieGoGo and recommended by our campaign manager (also endorsed and suggested by IndieGoGo) to complete the fulfillment of these items.
This company has provided proof that all items were, in fact, shipped out.
If you didn't receive something you were supposed to receive, please take this up with IndieGoGo directly. This does not include things like:
DVD copy of the movie. It hasn't been made yet so this one is impossible so far. However, you will all receive your copy once it's finished.
A role in the movie. You will all receive information about this when the time comes. I am not welching on this.
Braintrust. When there are things to discuss, I will be launching this from romeropictures.com There has been no point in starting it as of yet since it is designed to be constructive and not just another message board.
Signed scripts will not be mailed out until the film is shot and released. This would be stupid of me to do. I'm sure you all understand this.
Signed arm and leg... again... these will be shipped out when we have shot the film and not before as we cannot ship arms and legs that haven't been made yet.
I think you all get the idea...
Additionally... I understand that many of you are upset about the extended silence. I have apologized for this and taken accountability for it. At this point, I can do nothing else about it except commit to bring you updates from this point forward.
If you would care to get more regular updates than the once-a-month post here, please feel free to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and at http://romeropictures.com (all social links can be found on my site).
I truly hope for your continued support for this project.

This may be the coolest announcement I've made... ever. The best part is that this is only PART 1!
Since my dad passed away on July 16th, I've seen him honored by fans, members of the industry (some of whom truly loved, respected and looked up to him and some who are truly opportunists hoping to capitalize on his name). I've watched amazing filmmakers issue tributes, thanks and inspirational credits to my dad... I've watched millions of fans around the world grieve, celebrate, mourn, lament and iconize his name, reputation, body of work, etc... I've watched him receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (online, as I was not invited to the ceremony), I've watched him be honored with zombie walks, conventions, magazines, films, social media video tributes and just about anything else true fans of the man and what he did could think of to honor him... I've been sent photos of some amazing tattoos friends of mine have gotten and that fans have gotten to memorialize their love for his work... I've asked my friend, Jeffery Scott to design my memorial tattoo in only the way 1019 can do as himself, as my dear friend, as a man with insight into my relationship with my dad and as one of the most amazing artists I've ever had the privilege to call friend. I've lamented his loss with my brother, J.B. Beverley, shared a beer and some memories with friends like Chuck Daniels, cried on the shoulder of my best half, Becki Brewerand cried with Steve Barton, finally met and shared time with amazing friends like Scott Lake and Michael J. Junkin, talked and wrote for hours with my true and dear friend John Thaddeus, talked about the real future as the carrier of the family legacy with one of the best businessmen and a mentor of mine, Scott Valentine and spent all of that time with one goal in my heart and in my mind... to finally and without fail do whatever the Hell it takes to honor my father and his memory in the best and only way I know how to do. J Aaron Hager and I have spent a lot of time talking about a lot of things, but I have to give him a very special thanks for the following artwork.
Many of you know that I have been working to tell a story for many years... My dad read the script and called it "genius" (I'm not saying that from pride, it's an actual quote and I have the email to prove it! :)) Many have approached me about making this film and I've said no to many because even though I'm not a "precious" artist, this one is special... this one is mine... this one... is my love letter to my dad... to his work... to the fact that he was once called the most dangerous filmmaker alive... to the fact that society in 1968 wanted to shut him up as much as they wanted to celebrate him...
This one...
This one is the prelude to "Night," the film that created the pop culture phenomenon that has inspired thousands of filmmakers from backyard auteurs to $180M features to the single longest running and most successful show in the history of television...
This one has been a long time coming...
Those of you who have known about it for a long time and even helped support an indiegogo campaign a few years back to help me develop it to this point, know this project by its codename:
"ORIGINS."
It is with absolute great joy that I would like to present to you all very late this Halloween night, the announcement for this project's official title.
Shane Hurlbut Asc and I spoke last week and he has expressed to me that he as excited as I am to shoot this film with me.
Robert Kurtzman has expressed his excitement to deliver something y'all ain't never seen before with this one.
And it is my absolute promise to you all that this film will be everything it needs to be... it will be unapologetic... it will be the...
